Nagasaki is a city in Southern Kyushu with a population of about a third of Fukuoka. (What's that? Well, get your google going!). The weekend I visited there was a festival going on with participants from seven major groups all over town and some festivities in the city center and at various shrines and sites throughout. I saw the harbor, climbed to the top of a hill to visit the Glover House, went to the Atomic Bomb Museum and saw the hypocenter (ground zero), and visited the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, among other things. I will probably not be editing this post for awhile, so until then, enjoy the photographs! A.S.M.
